The EMERALDS project is set to contribute to the upcoming workshop titled "Mobility and Transportation: Evolving Value Chains and Market Dynamics in the Computing Continuum." The workshop is organised together with the EUCloudEdgeIoT.eu initiative and will take place on October 25, 2023, from 09:30 to 11:00 am CEST at the European Big Data Value Forum.
The session aims to explore the impact of Cloud-Edge-IoT (CEI) applications on the transportation sector, covering topics such as autonomous vehicles, traffic management, and green mobility. A panel discussion featuring industry and R&D experts will address the role of research in advancing the Computing Continuum and current challenges like energy shortages.
Foivos Galatoulas, the coordinator of the EMERALDS project will present the EMERALDS dedicated session, focusing on the project's contributions to the Computing Continuum and Green AI Technologies. The presentation will be followed by a panel discussion on enabling start-ups and SMEs to pioneer in the Computing Continuum landscape.
