CARTO Joins EU Future Mobility Taskforce

In a move to address the critical challenges faced by mobility innovators, EMERALDS’s partner CARTO had the chance to meet the European Commissioner for Transport, Adina Vălean and join the EU Future Mobility Taskforce as part of a group of CEOs and founders from Europe's influential private mobility companies and startups. Together, these organisations aim to enhance the competitiveness of European startups and pave the way for a more sustainable future of mobility.

At the heart of the mobility industry lies the power of data and analytics, particularly mobility analytics, which holds immense potential to significantly improve efficiency and drive a transition towards sustainable transportation solutions. CARTO, a leading provider of geospatial data and analytics platforms, is strongly advocating for a boost to the geospatial sector in Europe. This growth can be fueled by robust support from the public sector, enabling the development of cutting-edge geospatial technologies and enabling European startups to thrive in this rapidly evolving field.

"The EU Future Mobility Taskforce is dedicated to tackling the key challenges facing innovators in the mobility sector." stated Javier de la Torre, Founder and Chief Strategy Officer at CARTO. "We at CARTO will be collaborating with other 15 companies on the sector on areas that can improve the competitivenes of European startups."
